What will the Fall of 2020 look like?
Preschool and extended care programs are licensed under the Washington State Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF). This means they fall under separate guidelines than K-12 schools. We are waiting for those updated guidelines and expect to share that information with preschool families soon.

- 360 degree cameras/microphones in classrooms to allow for live classroom instruction and interaction within a variety of circumstances
- New curricular subscriptions to allow for fluidity in instructional delivery methods and needs
- Creation of flexible schedules dependent on classroom capacity directives (full time vs. alternating days, etc....)
- Additional extended care opportunities to accommodate for any changes to maximum classroom capacity and schedule modifications
- Increased availability of student-use devices
- Increased mobility of specialist and MS teachers in order to limit student travel throughout building
- Increased access to Social Emotional Learning resources to help staff and parents address increased anxiety in our students
- Additional classroom spaces created for alternate learning environments
- Mobile teaching carts to allow for limited student movement and increased teacher mobility
- Additional Stop and Drop lanes in North Lot to accommodate for limited guests in the building
- New bathroom/Physical Education dress-down protocols to limit physical contact o Increased sanitizing stations at all high-traffic entry points
- Increased cleaning and sanitization during school days and after hours by both school and janitorial staff
- Revised “stay-home-when-symptomatic” protocol based on new CDC recommendations. Increased access to contactless temperature checks
- Increased access/utilization of PPE
- Physical distancing measures taken for all transitions by students, staff, other essential adults in the building
- Creation of a Health and Wellness Committee, led by a chaired position on the School Commission
